'La Chusa' is a vengeful spirit from Northern Mexican folklore..She was once a mortal woman who was accused of witchcraft and unjustly murdered for it. Legend has it that in the afterlife, she was enchanted with the form of an owl, so that she may roam the night and reveal herself as an omen of death to those reminiscent of her murders.
